We’ve compiled a number of frequently asked questions that are asked often enough to publish these questions and answers here. How do I cook sausages?
Place sausages in pan/skillet with water, covering sausage. Simmer (do not boil) for 20 minutes. You may also fry, broil, bake or grill till skin is golden brown.
Can I eat your smoked sausages as is?
Yes! It is 100% cooked. However, we still recommend you cook it.
What is the difference between fresh sausages vs smoked sausages?
Fresh kielbasa is raw and uncooked. It will need to be cooked to an internal temperature of 160 degrees. Our smoked kielbasa has already been smoked and is 100% cooked from our smoke house with an internal temperature of 160 degrees.
What is the best way to cook pierogi’s?
Defrost pierogis first. In a non-stick frying pan, melt a little butter and fry both sides till lightly golden brown or just warmed through.
Can I do curbside pickup?
Of course, call ahead and your order will be ready for you. Call when you have arrived and we will bring your order to you.
Do you carry any other products?
Yes, besides the fine sausages on line we also carry (un-cooked) Italian, Bratwurst, Buckhurst and Breakfast Sausages, as well as a variety of Pierogi’s! Come visit our shop for more products!
How long is my sausages good for?
Our cryovac sausages is good for 2 weeks in a cool area when purchased from our shop. We also recommend freezing when not cooking it immediately. Opened sausages is good for 4 days.
How long is baked loaf good for?
Our cryovac bake loaf is good for 2 weeks in a cool area when purchased from our shop. You may also freeze it. Once opened, it should be used in a couple of days.
How long can I keep pierogi’s in the freezer?
You can keep pierogi’s in the freezer up to 2 months.
Can I freeze sausages and for how long?
Yes! You can freeze sausages up to 3 months.
Can I freeze baked loaf and for how long?
Yes! You can freeze bake loaf up to 3 months.
Is there a store near me that carries your product?

Do you have the nutritional value for your products on your website or on package?
Currently, we do not. However, our sausages are less fatty and greasy than most other brands as we use extra lean meat.
What are the ingredients in the sausages?
Our minimal ingredients for the sausages are; pork, water, dry milk, salt, secret spices, flavoring and sodium nitrite. Please refer to our product label for the list of ingredients.
Does the bake loaf contain veal?
No. It contains the listed products mentioned above.
Can I buy casing?
Yes! Each casing “strand” costs $5.00 and will yield about 10 pounds of sausage.
How are mail orders packaged?
Product goes into a cooler with gel packs, in a card board box and frozen over night to be shipped out on the next delivery day. We prefer to ship out orders on Monday and Tuesday. Please, if possible, place your order the week before.
What company will deliver my mail order?
All mail orders are shipped by UPS. UPS will send you a tracking number so you may track your package.
How long will it take to receive my mail order?
In the New England area, packages should arrive in 2 to 3 days. Packages being delivered out west should arrive in 4 days. You can choose faster shipping by calling us and asking for the person in charge of mail orders. She or he will run the choices by you and you can place your order securely with them.
How many packages are in 5 and 10lbs of any one sausage?
5lbs of any sausage will yield approximately 4-5 packages and 10lbs will yield approximately 8-9 packages.
How much does each package weight?
All packages weigh approximately 1 pound.
How many links are in a package?
There are 3 links in a package, except for the hot dogs which has 4.
Can you describe your hot dogs?
Our jumbo hot dogs are 6 3/4 inches long using extra lean pork and beef. Refer to our website product picture with description under “Products”
Can I call to place a mail order, especially a custom mail order?
Of course! You can always call us if you are not comfortable ordering on line and talk with a friendly employee! You can also call us if you rather pick and choose, exactly what you prefer. Are you new to us? If so, be sure to ask about our “sampler package”.
When I receive my mail order, can I freeze it again?
Yes! You can freeze what you are not immediately eating while the rest can go in the refrigerator.
Can I order on line for a pick up?
Currently, no but hopefully coming soon. Presently, on line orders are for “mail orders” only. However, you can most definitely place an order by phone for pick up.
Are you open regular hours during the pandemic?
Yes, we continue to remain open with regular business hours located on our website. Currently we are taking customers at the window. Please ring the bell and give us a moment to sanitize before tending to you. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Are the sausages vacuum packed or not?
All our “smoked” sausages are vacuum packed unless you give us advance notice to do otherwise.
Is your sausages made fresh daily?
Yes, our sausages is made fresh daily and sold the next day.

What is the difference between a ring of sausages vs a link of sausages?
There is no difference in recipe. The ring is 2, long, 12 inch pieces while the links (3 per package, 6 ½ inches long each) looks like regular hot dog package but thicker.
What is bake loaf?
Bake loaf is the owner’s version of bologna but BETTER! Refer to our website product picture and description under “Products”.
What are and how big are the pierogis?
Pierogis are 3 inch long dumplings with a tender dough filled with savory or sweet fillings. Come in or call to hear about our vast assortment of flavors!
What is the difference between Bratwurst and Bockwurst?
Our Bratwurst (approximately 6 ¾ inches long/3 to a pack) is pork and beef sausage flavored with onion and secret spices sold un-cooked. Our Bockwurst (approximately 4 inches long/ 6 or 7 to a pack) is like a small breakfast sausage, not heavy in spices with a slight sweet flavor sold un-cooked.
Is Chourico spicy?
It is not as spicy as our Spicy Kielbasa. It is mild, packed with much flavor and is not dry!

Can I place a holiday order?
Yes! We can start taking special orders for (besides our sausages) hams or turkeys a month in advance. We typically order for the holidays the large Triple M Budaball Ham (bone in, 12-24lbs) and the smaller Chef Delight Ham (boneless, 8-10lbs). We also order Norbest Turkeys, mainly for Thanksgiving. Prices vary year to year.
Can I eat your smoked sausages as is?Do you sell product in large quantities to the public for special events?
